The work doesn’t stop just because there are fewer people to do it! Collaborate with your team and don’t just have a pity party. If you can’t hire, you can’t hire. Accept it and figure out ways to lessen the workload for everyone. Look for opportunities to streamline, consolidate, and reduce duplication. Look at ways you can learn new things or spread the work around so that there’s equity. Have a heart-to-heart with each member of your team so that everyone feels heard. Advocate for one another. Don’t be the negative person; look for what’s good and view it as a chance to create new efficiencies for everyone.
